THE ORIGINAL COLLECTION

Two great friends. One awfully rainy day. And a shared frustration that changed everything.

Brolly’s was born in the drizzle, like most great British ideas. Founders James and Alex were no strangers to the daily dance with unpredictable skies — ducking in and out of shops, clutching half-broken umbrellas, and yet remaining frustrated despite the so-called ‘solutions’ sold on the high street.

What struck them most wasn’t just the lack of quality — it was the realisation that no one had ever truly owned the category. In a nation defined by its weather, how was there still no household name for umbrellas?

That’s when it clicked.

Between bargain-bin brollies that buckle in the breeze and overpriced “designer” ones that forget the rain entirely, there was a clear gap — not just in the market, but in people’s lives. A space for something better. Reliable. Stylish. Designed for the real British forecast (sun, sleet, sideways wind... all before lunch).

James and Alex didn’t set out to start a brand. They set out to solve a problem. To help people face the weather — not fear it.

So, they built The Original Collection: engineered to outlast the storm, made for the everyday commuter, the spontaneous wanderer, the prepared-for-anything parent. A modern umbrella that finally lives up to what it should be — durable, thoughtful, even joyful to own.

We believe that in Britain, an umbrella isn’t an accessory. It’s a necessity. And it’s time it had a brand to match.

Brolly’s. For the unpredictability of British weather.
